The beautiful Yanalangami team, Aunty Bernice Hookey and Katherine Stone, recently travelled to Yawuru Country, Rubibi (Broome, WA), carrying heart, strength, and purpose to deliver our Train-the-Trainer (Yanalangami Community Facilitators) Program from 13-15 October.

This program follows a hybrid delivery model. In the lead-up, all Changemakers completed three weekly online sessions before gathering for three transformative days of in-person learning on Yawuru Country.

Across those three days, the Yanalangami team stood alongside an incredible group of First Nations women, leaders, Changemakers, and strong community voices, all of whom have previously completed the Community Stream of our Yanalangami National Online Community Changemaker Program. Each Changemaker arrived ready to deepen their leadership and facilitation skills.

What unfolded was deeply uplifting. We witnessed these women step into their power, strengthen their sisterhood, and form a vibrant local cohort determined to facilitate and lead the next wave of wellbeing and leadership sessions on Country.

This new Yawuru cohort is now equipped to deliver Yanalangami modules shaped by Kimberley contexts, ensuring the program continues to grow strong roots in Community. Their journeys will continue through culturally grounded workshops and ongoing mentoring, strengthening connection, leadership, and collective healing.
