In March, our Yanalangami team travelled to Mparntwe on Arrernte Country (Alice Springs, NT) to host a community consultation in preparation for our upcoming in-person delivery, which will take place later this year.
The Yanalangami Mparntwe Program will be delivered from Monday 27-Wednesday 29 October 2025. This place-based, three-day Yanalangami program has been co-designed with local community and Elders, in partnership with Purple House, to ensure it reflects the strengths, aspirations, and cultural priorities of women in the community.
Yanalangami Mparntwe will bring together 16 First Nations female Changemakers aged 18 years or older, who are living on or near Arrernte Country and making a positive impact in their communities. The free program will empower the women to grow as leaders, strengthen their voices, and create lasting change.
Participants can either be nominated by their Community or nominate themselves to take part. Across the three days, women will engage in a series of interactive and culturally grounded workshops, co-designed with Purple House, that support both professional development and self-healing journeys.
Our recent consultation reinforced the importance of strengths-based approaches that centre culture, connection, and self-determination. By creating a safe and empowering space, the Yanalangami Mparntwe Program will support women to walk confidently in their leadership journeys, grounded in culture, and supported by Community.
With deep respect,
The Yanalangami Team
